TTC: Skilling up Pakistan’s youth
Established to provide high caliber skills development programs for the rural populace, the Technical Training College (TTC) focuses on training underprivileged youth in Diplomas of Associate Engineering and Vocational Training Education (VTE).
2015 saw the second batch of 65 TTC graduates hit the ground running: as testament to the institute, 22 students have received jobs in different industries including Engro Fertilizer, Engro Foods, and Engro Polymer, despite only half the batch having received their Sindh Board Examination results.
Additionally, the TTC has trained over 300 youth in vocational training skills of carpentry, pipe fitting and UPS in 2015 alone! To celebrate these accomplishments, Engro Foundation is in the midst of documenting student learning outcomes: how the opportunity of skills training has changed the lives of community youth.
