Pathways to Success (PTS) project was implemented by Engro Foundation in partnership with its valuable partners: Indus Resource Centre (IRC), Technical Training College (TTC), Injaz Pakistan, IBA Sukkur and Memon Industrial and Technical Institute to train and empower 1500+ adolescent girls from districts Karachi and Ghotki.

Under Component 1, vocational trainings for 200+ (5 trades) young girls were completed at Technical Training College (TTC), Ghotki. This was the first time that TTC opened its doors for girls’ trainings, and is receiving great deal of appreciation from the communities. Trades being hosted by TTC were Early Childhood Education, MS Office & Administration and Web Designing. In addition, a training centre was also been established at Mirpur Mathelo by IRC where trainings for beautician and artisans trades were completed.

Duration 16 months

Under Component 2, 22 girls from Karachi were trained by Injaz Pakistan in entrepreneurship and handed over start-up kits for setting up small scale businesses in their respective communities. Further, 40 girls from Ghotki were also identified and trained in entrepreneurship after completion of their vocational training.

Under Component 3, Indus Resource Centre engaged with government schools in Karachi and Ghotki for training 1,200+ female students in the areas of life skills, job readiness and hygiene awareness.
