A Commitment to Pakistan's Resilience

In 2020, as Pakistan confronted the unprecedented challenges of COVID-19, Mr. Hussain Dawood — Chairman of Engro Corporation and Dawood Hercules Corporation — together with his family and Group companies, pledged PKR 1 billion to strengthen the nation's response and resilience.

The Hussain Dawood Pledge was structured around four critical priorities:

Disease Prevention & Diagnostics

Expanding access to COVID-19 testing, contact tracing, and isolation facilities to curb the spread of the virus.

Protecting Healthcare Practitioners

Supplying frontline workers with personal protective equipment (PPE) to safeguard those who risked their lives for others.

Enabling Patient Care & Facilities

Supporting hospitals with equipment, medicines, sanitation, and respiratory care to ease the burden on overstretched facilities.

Bolstering Livelihoods

Supporting daily wage earners and vulnerable households with food, assets, and livelihood opportunities during the lockdown.
